Job Description
We are hiring a Licence Manager to support a major Government programme from our location in Central London.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

The Licence Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Licence and Compliance process of all SIAM Suppliers on behalf of the Authority client.

As part of the Service Integration and Management (SIAM) team, the Licence Manager will work directly with the Supplier Licence Coordinators, and the customer, to ensure the process objectives are met. Leading by example and fulfilling the SIAM activities in line with the agreed processes is critical to maintaining credibility.

The Licence Manager will be expected to have a good knowledge of how the Licence processes integrate and interact with SACM and other key ITIL processes.

Key Responsibilities include:

Manage Performance

  • Work with Suppliers and the Authority customer to ensure conformance and adherence to Policies, Processes & Procedures and manage non-compliance by any Supplier
  • Ensure that all Licence usage managed by each Supplier on behalf of the client are reported and recorded in the ITSM toolset
  • Liaise with the Authority customer to help establish and agree current position regarding renewals
  • Governance of Software Licence processes across all SIAM Suppliers
  • Support Software Compliance reviews and reporting
  • Assist with Software Licence audits by Third Parties
  • Review reports, identify trends and any preventative actions that need to be taken to prevent non-compliance
  • Identify and manage risks
Governance and Assurance
  • Provide regular Management Information to the Service Review Boards
  • Address any non-compliance issues with Suppliers and/or the customer
  • Escalate risks and issues to leadership and/or the customer in order to mitigate failures within the process and IT services
  • Ensure remedial and improvement plans are actioned
  • Support other meetings as required with key customer representatives for Status and Management Reviews, to resolve problems and close assigned actions.
  • Responsible for compliance with internal Leidos policy and procedures and understanding of security responsibilities and commitments
  • Responsible for compliance with the Quality Policy and procedures and understanding of quality responsibilities and commitments
Service Improvements
  • Socialises improvement suggestions with the customer and Supplier Licence Coordinators
  • Recommends agreed improvements to increase effectiveness or efficiency of processes
  • Documents improvements identified in Governance Reviews
PROFILE

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Industry recognised Software Asset Management certification
  • Up-to-date knowledge of licensing and product usage rights across a number of software providers e.g. Oracle, Microsoft, MicroFocus
  • Understanding of, and work effectively in, a large-scale IT Service Management environment
  • Ability to work in an environment with continually evolving requirements and dynamic schedules
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Leadership experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and recommend solutions for problems/issues
  • Ability to interact effectively, to encourage and influence both internal and external customers and senior program management
