Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager in our Glasgow Office, Global Airport sector with a strong track record in delivering IT application projects.  This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have (or be able to acquire) SC clearance.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering multiple high profile IT projects across our large Transportion customer base and leading all phases of the project lifecycle from bid phase through to Service Transition and post implementation support.  Experience of Waterfall methodology and Agile principles would be an advantage.

The role will be challenging and demanding but equally rewarding.  As the face of Leidos to the customer, you will be responsible for the customer relationship.  A very strong and proven background of customer stakeholder management is crucial for this role.

You will be responsible and accountable for project controls regarding planning and managing the project schedule, financial tracking, internal and external reporting, managing risks and issues.  You will have a strong background in change management processes and ensuring quality controls are adhered to.


We are looking for someone with an IT delivery background, first-class communication and negotiating skills. 

Mandatory requirements for this role include:

  • Demonstrable experience in a project management function, delivering IT projects to external customers
  • Experience of delivering low/ medium complexity IT projects
  • Experience of working with demanding customers
  • Experience of working in a process structured, quality environment
  • Ability to identify and effectively manage risks and issues
  • Current formal project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, MSP, CSM)
  • Delivering projects to agreed timescales, budgets and quality requirements
  • Experience of managing contract financials
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
